Ref skating rink, I remember it very well. I can't remember the dates it came to Temple, but I was probably in the 3rd to 7th grade. I got to skate free most of the time by being a skate key boy. We would help people put on their skates and tighten the shoe clamps up. I was a pretty good skater and could do the couple dance skating and skate backward. The thing that I remember the most is one time a guy was about drunk and skating going the wrong way and ran into me and knocked me down on my tail bone. The fall really hurt and I have 2 bulging disk in my lower back that resulted from the fall and has been somewhat of a back problem later on in my life. But it was a great time back then and help fill in our time during the hot Oklahoma summer days.
